WABORI TALISMAN Hannya is a brass art accessory crafted based on traditional Japanese designs.

Hannya symbolizes human emotions like anger and jealousy, while also representing overcoming them, thus carrying the meaning of warding off evil and offering protection. Its intense expression embodies inner conflict and the power of rebirth.

This product is created at Wada Chokin Kobo in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. After being cast into shape, it is finished with hand-polishing by artisans and traditional black dyeing, also used for temple and shrine decorations.

The interplay of light and shadow creates depth, and the sculpted unevenness can be felt with your fingertips. The handcrafted finish gives this mass-produced item a distinct presence.

By wearing it, you confront your inner self and gain the strength to move forward. WABORI TALISMAN is an ornament that also serves as a "wearable amulet."

It comes with an approximately 50cm chain (+ approximately 5cm adjuster) and a lobster clasp so it can be used as a pendant.

The hannya motif, while seemingly terrifying at first glance, is, in my opinion, an entity that emerges when one confronts "human weakness" and "emotions."

I created this design with the intention of conveying the meaning of embracing all emotions, including anger and confusion, and moving forward.

I hope this talisman can be an opportunity for the wearer to become a little stronger.
