Mino ware vessels where designs come alive with temperature.

Marumo Takagi Pottery

Founded in 1887 as Marui Shoten in Ichinokura, Tajimi, Gifu — the heart of the Mino ware ceramic region with over 1,300 years of history — Marumo Takagi Pottery has stood at the forefront of Japanese tableware for generations. In 1990, the company supplied vessels for the imperial enthronement ceremony, a milestone in its long lineage of craftsmanship.

Tradition meets innovation under the fifth-generation president, Takagi Masaharu. The signature Hot & Cold Series reveals motifs of cherry blossoms, fireworks, and autumn leaves as the temperature of the vessel changes — magic born of refined Mino ware techniques and a contemporary sensibility.

"Designing with temperature." Through vessels that stir the heart, we share the Japanese aesthetic with the world.
